Firefighters help rescue cow from Lincoln County sinkhole

LINCOLN COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ)- Firefighters in Lincoln County Saturday afternoon helped save a cow from a sinkhole.

Fire Station Three says it was sent to Moores Lane Saturday afternoon where crews found a large calf about 20 feet down in a sinkhole.

Teams came in from out of county to help because they have training in large animal rescue.

Units stayed on scene for hours in cold temperatures, working to rescue the calf.

Firefighters say the calf was successfully rescued and was up and walking around.
