Fire consumes Anderson County home

ANDERSON, Ky. (WTVQ) — Flames consumed a home on Wildcat Road, Monday night, despite the best efforts of Anderson County firefighters.

Thankfully, no one was home at the time of the blaze, and no injuries were reported, though Battalion Chief Chris Harrod said that the home was a total loss.

Firefighters from all five stations were called to the site at 10:30 a.m., and battled flames in the bitter cold. According to the fire department no one was home at the time of the fire.

The cause of the fire has not been determined, said Harrod.
