Fire Commission Establishes Toll-Free Fireline

Prospective volunteer firefighters across Kentucky now have a direct line to information they need to start serving their communities.

The Kentucky Fire Commission has established 1-800 FIRELINE (347-35463).

The 800-number directs calls from all Kentucky area codes to the Kentucky State Fire Rescue Training – Volunteer Firefighter Recruitment & Retention Program.

Staff from the program answer calls and gather information from prospective volunteers, including:  name, phone number, email, location etc…

The information is provided to the volunteer service closest to the prospective member.
