Fire claims life of Anderson County man

ANDERSON COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ) – A man has died following a fire over the weekend in Anderson County.

According to Anderson County Fire Chief Patrick Krogman, crews were called to a trailer on Eagle Lake Drive around 4 p.m. Saturday.

He says crews arrived to find the trailer engulfed in flames.

Firefighters found 43-year-old Tim Garlen near the door of the trailer.

He was taken to a hospital in Frankfort then flown to the University of Cincinnati Burn Center, where he passed away Sunday afternoon, according to Krogman.

An autopsy is expected to be done Monday.

Krogman says investigators believe the fire may have started on the couch in the front part of the trailer but they are still trying to determine a cause.

He says the fire also caused damage to a flea market business located behind the trailer.
