Final day for COVID-19 vaccinations at Kroger Field

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – One of the state’s first mass coronavirus vaccination sites closes on Friday, May 14, 2021 in Lexington.

The University of Kentucky and Wild Health says because of low demand, the Kroger Field vaccination site is being shutdown.

The school says the site will be dismantled over the next two weeks.

The vaccinations will transition to UK HealthCare clinics.

UK says about 250,000 doses were administered at Kroger Field.

Testing will still be available at Kroger Field through June.
