Fight leads to stabbing in Berea

BEREA, Ky. (WTVQ) – A Lancaster man is under arrest, accused of stabbing a man following an argument.

Berea police say an officer was flagged down on Center Street on October 6th and saw a man with a stab wound in his chest.

The officer then spotted a suspect get in the passenger seat of a car parked in front of a home.

When the officer ordered the man to get out of the car, he says the suspect got out and ran into a wooded area.

He was quickly caught and arrested.

Police say the knife used in the attack was found in the car the suspect was in.

According to investigators, 39-year-old Gregory Seney came to the home on Center Street to confront the homeowner, which led to the stabbing.

Seney is charged with assault, wanton endangerment, tampering with physical evidence and fleeing or evading police.
