FEMA preservation teams in Kentucky

LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC 36 NEWS NOW) – As Kentucky households continue to recover from the severe weather and floods that hit in February, FEMA is offering crucial assistance through its “Save your family treasures” program.

Preservation teams will be stationed at disaster recovery centers across the state to help survivors safely salvage and preserve damaged items, including family photos, artwork, textiles, and media.

The specialists will be at disaster recovery centers until Tuesday, March 25.

Centers include, the Pike Public Library and the Floyd County Board of Education.

They are open from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30  p.m. Monday through Friday and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturdays.
