Feeling like spring this week

We’re off to a great start to the work week (if you’re tired of winter) with highs in the mid 60s and sunny skies.  Tonight, we will keep mostly clear skies and with a southwesterly wind, temps will stay above average in the low 40s.  The sunshine returns Tuesday with highs peaking in the low 70s.  A weak cool front will move through Tuesday and pick the breeze up to 15-20 mph throughout the afternoon, but temps will stay above average through the night with lows in the mid 40s.  Wedneday may come with more clouds, but temps will continue to be above average in the mid 70s for the high and low 50s overnight.

Thursday is our next chance for rain, although models are trending on the dry side. We will be on the northside of a shortwave and could see some showers Thursday afternoon.  Temps remain in the low/mid 70s during the day and the low 50s at night. Clouds continue to increase Friday as our next major system moves toward the north/ northeast.  Friday could be our warmest day in the upper 70s with rain changes moving in overnight.

Saturday will likely bring rain chances throughout the day with strong (possibly severe) storms in the evening and overnight hours.  Gusty winds and localized flooding could be a concern. 1-3″ inches is expected at this time.

Temps take a slight dip behind the storm system, with highs in the upper 50s Sunday and low 60s on St. Patrick’s Day.
