FCPS employee arrested on child porn charges
LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC 36 NEWS NOW) – A Fayette County Public Schools employee has been arrested on child porn charges.
According to police, 42-year-old William Lyle was arrested on Friday.
He is charged with six counts of possessing matter portraying sexual performance of a minor under 12.
Detectives with the special victims unit are continuing to investigate and are asking anyone with information to call police at (859) 258-3600.
An FCPS District Spokesperson sent this statement to ABC 36, “FCPS is aware and fully cooperating with the recent arrest of William Adam Lyle, a para educator at Northern Elementary School. This happened on Friday, March 21, 2025. Once FCPS was informed about this employee’s arrest on Friday morning, FCPS administrators acted immediately to place him on administrative leave, which is required by district policy. FCPS also provided immediate support to all law enforcement agencies responding to this investigation. As of today, we are not aware of any victims connected to FCPS. Any questions about this investigation or anyone who feels they may have information that is relevant to this investigation, are asked to contact Lexington police.”
