FCPS cancels all after-school activities due to threat of severe weather

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ)- Due to the threat of extreme weather this evening, Fayette County Public Schools has cancelled all after school and evening activities on Thursday, March 14, 2019.

Normal dismissal procedures will remain in place, but any extra-curricular, co-curricular and school-operated after school care programs are cancelled. Families with students involved in those activities are asked to pick up their children as soon as possible or make contact with the school to arrange for alternate transportation home.

Families with children in the accelerated learning labs at Harrison, Mary Todd, Arlington, Coventry Oak, the Academy for Leadership at Millcreek, William Wells Brown, Booker T. Washington, and Yates are asked to call the school to confirm pick up arrangements.

All children will be supervised until a trusted adult arrives.
