FBI, US Marshals searching in Kentucky for fugitive who threatened President Trump
GREENSBURG, Ky. (WHAS) — According to a report from WHAS in Louisville, FBI agents and U.S. Marshals are currently searching Kentucky for Shawn Richard Christy of Pennsylvania, who is wanted for making threats against the president.
Police say Christy made threats against Donald Trump and Adair County native Dakota Meyer, a Medal of Honor recipient.
According to the Adair County Voice, federal officials have been searching for Christy in Adair County for several days.
Police say a car that was possibly stolen by Christy was found near Meyer’s home on Saturday.
According to police, Christy had made threats on Facebook against President Trump dating back to June, when he said he was going to shoot the president in the head.
An arrest warrant was issued for Christy on June 19th for interstate communication of threats and threats against the president of the United States.
He is described as 5’10”, 165 pounds, with brown hair and green eyes.
FBI officials say he may be carrying several stolen handguns.
