Fayette’s seven-day moving COVID average falls below 100
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Fayette County’s seven-day moving average — a key indicator of the direction of the virus in the community – has dropped below 100 for the first time in weeks.
According to the Lexington-Fayette County Health Department’s Tuesday morning report, the county recorded 221 new cases during the Saturday through Monday weekend period, lowering the seven-day moving average from 104 to 98. The total number of cases in the county rose to 49,411.
And after reporting four deaths in Monday’s update, the county announced no deaths in Tuesday’s numbers, leaving the number of residents lost to COVID-related causes at 368.
