Fayette Sheriff teams with Highbridge Springs to keep people cool

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Highbridge Springs and the Office of the Fayette County Sheriff have joined efforts to help Lexington’s most marginalized citizens stay cool and safe this weekend.

Highbridge Springs has made a generous donation of bottled water to the Office of the Fayette County Sheriff for distribution to Lexington’s most at-risk citizens.

“The Office of Sheriff is very grateful that Highbridge Springs has given such a generous donation to our office as we serve our community. Team members at the Office of Sheriff are trained to look for signs of distress, including illnesses due to heat in the summer months. This new partnership will allow us to provide what could be a potential lifesaver to individuals suffering from such high temperatures,” said Sheriff Kathy Witt.

Beginning Friday, Deputies with the Office of the Fayette County Sheriff will be going door-to-door in some of Lexington’s most underserved neighborhoods to distribute Highbridge Springs bottled water and to identify other needs of our citizens.
