Fayette schools to require everyone to wear masks
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – With the start of fall classes just eight days away, Fayette County Public Schools have announced the district will require all students, staff, contractors and visitors to wear masks on buses and in schools, regardless of their vaccination status.
The decision comes as the Delta variant of COVID-19 has surged across the state, pushing Fayette County and a majority of others in the state into the ‘red’ category for the incidence rate for the virus.
New Schools Superintendent Demetrius Liggins outlined the plans in a YouTube video.
