Fayette reports 8 more COVID deaths, seven-day average down to 62
County has confirmed 13 COVID-related deaths in last three days
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Eight more deaths push the number of Fayette County residents lost to COVID-related causes closer to breaking the 400 mark. And the deaths come as the number of new cases continue a slow but steady decline.
According to the Lexington-Fayette County Health Department’s Friday morning report, the county recorded eight deaths Thursday with six of those from October and two from September. The county has confirmed 13 COVID-related deaths in the last three days.
The county now has lost 393 residents to COVID.
The Health Department reported 62 new cases Thursday, lowering the seven-day moving average from 66 to 62. The county has announced 50,146 cases since March 2020.
