Fayette COVID cases remain below two weeks ago, pop-up clinic Thursday
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Fayette County’s new COVID cases continue to remain below where they were two weeks ago.
Meanwhile, the Lexington-Fayette County is hosting another pop-up vaccination clinic Thursday, May 13 featuring the one-shot Johnson & Johnson COVID vaccine.
The clinic is 1-3 p.m. at Russell School Community Services Center — Community Action Council — at 520 Toner St.
No appointments are needed and plenty of vaccine is available. Only walk-ins will be accepted. The vaccine is FREE and available for anyone ages 18 and older.
Meanwhile, the number of new COVID cases may be easing slightly in Fayette County.
According to the Lexington-Fayette County Health Department’s Wednesday report, the county recorded 33 new cases Tuesday, leaving the seven-day moving average at 33. The total of cases since March 2020 is 34,908.
The county reported no new deaths, leaving the total lost to COVID-related causes to 309.
