Fayette County school bus involved in accident

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Lexington police are investigating an early-morning crash involving a school bus that has closed down Alumni Drive at Squires Road.

There were no children on board at the time of the accident, according to Fayette County Public Schools.

According to Lexington Police, a driver ran a stop sign and hit the school bus, flipping it into a back yard.

The driver of the car was taken to the hospital with serious injuries, according to police.

Police say the bus monitor and school bus driver suffered minor injuries and were taken to the hospital.

Alumni Drive is expected to be closed down for another hour while crews work to clean up the crash.
