Counties prepare for start of early voting
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – In-person early voting opens Tuesday and based on early indications, many county clerks across the state expect use of in-person early voting to be heavy.
They expect that will lead to record turnout i many counties.
Fayette County Clerk Don Blevins says he expects voter turnout this year to be the highest Fayette County has ever seen.
Blevins suggests voters get their ballots submitted as early as possible so they can correct any issues.
He also says voting early is no different than voting election day.
Blevins says his election workers are working 60 to 70 hours a week and doing everything they can to keep things safe and secure.
