Fayette County high schools hold vaccination clinics

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Fayette County Schools students and parents had the chance to get vaccinated today at the district’s six high schools.

People ages 12 and older got the shot. Parents say they are excited to get their kids vaccinated so they can get back to an active summer.

John Mountjoy said as soon as teens were eligible, he thought it was important for his son to get his.

“Once everybody does it where going to be able to get back to some symbolance of normal. And everybody is going to be able to have fun and go about our lives. So we thought it was very important for him to do that before school starts,” said Mountjoy.

He also said he thinks it is important for everyone to do their part.
