Fayette Co. Schools score high in national survey

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – U.S. News and World Reports has released their rankings of high schools in the nation in a report which includes data on more than 21,000 public high schools in 50 states and the District of Columbia.

Schools were awarded gold, silver or bronze medals based on their performance on state assessments and how well they prepare students for college.

Two high school in the Fayette County Public Schools are ranked in the top 10 in the Commonwealth — Henry Clay High School at 6th, and Lafayette High School at 10th. Also, Tates Creek High School ranked 30th in the state of Kentucky. All three schools received silver medals.
