Fayette Co. school board to vote on increased property tax

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – The Lexington Herald-Leader says the Fayette Co. school board plans a vote on August 24 on whether to raise property tax rates by 2.1 percent.

If approved, the rate would go up to 74 cents for every 100 dollars of personal property. The increase would not affect vehicles.
A person owning a $100,000 dollar home would end up paying about 21 dollars more per year.
