Father of Missing Woman Found Dead

BARDSTOWN, Ky. (WTVQ)-The Father of missing Nelson County woman Crystal Rogers is dead. Family says Tommy Ballard was shot and killed early Saturday morning. Kentucky state police say it happened during a hunting trip. They believe he was shot accidentally.

“Being who he is and that his daughter disappeared however long ago it was I’m sure that’s what people have on their mind, but we have no way right now to link any of that together. We’re still in the early stages,” Jeff Gregory with the State Police said.

Ballard’s daughter, Crystal, was last seen on July 3rd, 2015. Kentucky state police say her case is still classified as a missing persons case, though police believe she is dead.
