Father accused of leaving eight-year old home alone

LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ) – A Corbin man was arrested after deputies say he left his 8-year old daughter home alone.

Deputies say 36-year old Luke Frenz was charged with endangering the welfare of a minor and driving on a DUI suspended license.

Investigators say deputies were initially called to the home off Byrley Road on February 17, 2020, after the little girl was seen playing alone outside.  After an investigation, deputies say they determined the child had been left alone.

Deputies, along with help from social services, tracked Frenz down, who they say drove to the house on a DUI suspended license.  Investigators say they also found an uncapped needle in a bedroom.

Frenz was arrested at the home and taken to jail.
