Fatal crash in Gallatin County

GALLATIN COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ)- Two people are dead as a result of a head on crash in Gallatin County Saturday.

According to Kentucky State Police, the collision happened just before 4 PM on US 42 about two miles west of Warsaw.

20 year old Kyle Allbecker of Cincinnati lost control of his vehicle and crossed into the opposite lane.

KSP says 52 year old Joey Sloan of Union, Kentucky was driving his vehicle in the westbound lanes when the two vehicle hit head on.

Authorities say that Allbecker was partially ejected from his vehicle upon impact and pronounced dead at the scene by the Gallatin County Coroner.

Two passengers in Slone’s vehicle were ejected; a 16 year-old female, who was also pronounced dead at the scene and a 15 year old male who was airlifted to the University of Cincinnati Hospital with serious injuries.

All three ejected were not wearing seatbelts according to authorities.

Slone was also flown to the University of Cincinnati Hospital for his injuries, and another passenger in his vehicle, Tonia Slone, was treated for injuries at the scene.

The crash remains under investigation.
