Family offers reward in 2013 Nicholasville murder

NICHOLASVILLE, Ky. (WTVQ) – A reward is now being offered in a Jessamine County murder case from two years ago.

Deputies say Dale ‘Monte’ Burgess was found shot to death in his Nicholasville home.

“It’s a feeling that just rips your insides out,” said Bill Burgess, Monte’s brother.

Barry Stinnett is accused of the murder. He’s charged with murder and robbery. Stinnett was arrested May 2014.

The Burgess family believes there are more people involved. They’re hoping the new incentive of a $3,000 reward will help bring justice.

“Just step up, make the call,” said Burgess. “Let them know what you know and I think with that right there something will get rolling.”
