Exchange student gets EPO against “host dad”

ANDERSON COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ) – An exchange student from Norway asked for, and was granted, a restraining order against her “host dad.”

According to the Anderson County News, the emergency protection order was taken out against 45-year-old Chad Edward Woolums after he showed up at Anderson County High School with 18 tulips and a bottle of expensive perfume for the foreign exchange student.

The Anderson County News reports that a woman wrote in a petition for the protection order that the girl “is scared that he might show up at the school or new home because he is obsessed with her”

The petition goes on to make other allegations against Woolums, none of which have yet resulted in criminal charges, according to the newspaper.

Woolums has been ordered to have no contact or communication with the girl and remain 500 feet away from her at all times.

A hearing is scheduled for March 13.
