Estill County Sheriff’s Office gets first-ever Deputy K-9
IRVINE, Ky. (WTVQ) – People in Estill County will see a new deputy on the streets, unlike any they’ve seen before.
Her name is “Ruby,” a two-year old Belgian Malinois. She is the first Deputy K-9 ever in the Estill County Sheriff’s Office.
The sheriff says Ruby completed her final certification this weekend after an eight-week training course at the Little Rock K-9 Academy.
She is a dual purpose K-9, certified in narcotics and patrol work, according to the sheriff.
