Escaped Eastern Kentucky inmate caught
MORGAN COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ)- An inmate who escaped the Eastern Kentucky Correctional Complex last week has been caught.
According to State Police, 40-year-old John Parrott was taken into custody Sunday morning in Morgan County near a home on Kentucky 705.
He now faces new burglary, escape, and persistent felony offender charges.
Before his escape, Parrott was up for parole in March.
He had been serving a 38-year sentence for several charges including burglary and possession of a handgun by a convicted felon.
Parrott reportedly ran away Friday by walking away from work detail at a tree farm.
