Employee Accused Of Stealing Money From Business

Richmond Police said Melody A. Nolan, 32, of Richmond, stole $18,108.59 from the Exxon Friendly Mart on Lexington Road where she worked.

Investigators said the money was stolen in July and August of this year, before Nolan was fired.

A warrant was issued for Nolan on September 17th.

Police said on October 15th, Nolan was taken into custody after showing up at the police station.

She was lodged in the Madison County Detention Center.

Police said Nolan was charged with Theft by Unlawful Taking Over $10,000.
