Emergency road aid funds awarded to Jessamine County

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet announced the Jessamine County Fiscal Court will receive $40,560 in emergency road aid funding.

Funds will be used for a slide repair on Elmfork Road (CR 1118), making travel safer for cars, school buses and other vehicles that rely up the highway.

“The Bevin administration is committed to the Cabinet’s mission of providing a safe, reliable transportation network for all Kentuckians,” said Transportation Secretary Greg Thomas.

The project location is south of Kentucky Highway 39.

“These emergency funds will help local governments repair and restore damaged infrastructure throughout their communities,” said Thomas.

The Jessamine County Fiscal Court is responsible for administering the work.
