Elizabethtown couple in Nice safe after attack

ELIZABETHTOWN, Ky. (WTVQ) -Kentucky State Representative Jim DuPlessis believes his parents, who were in Nice at the time of last night’s horrific attack, are safe.

Rep. DuPlessis says he got a text message from his father around 1am Friday morning after the attack, not mentioning the events, but commenting on news coverage on CNN.  He believes his parents could be traveling to another area and they have bad cell service.

DuPlessis was unable to confirm where his parents where in Nice when the attack happened, but according to their itinerary they were scheduled to be there that day.

John and Kitty DuPlessis are scheduled to land at the Louisville airport July 23rd.
