EKU Solar Eclipse session

RICHMOND, Ky. (WTVQ) – Eastern Kentucky University held a special session with a physics professor to answer all kinds of questions about what we’ll see on Monday.

Dr. Jessica Lair says she loves sharing what she knows about astronomy with people of all ages.

“It’s really great to see the multi-generations here, you know everyone is excited about this. so we have someone had a 6-month-old, so i’m sure that little guy didn’t know what was going on, but we have little kids all the way up to grandparents, so I just think it’s amazing.”

EKU will also host a viewing event Monday starting at 12:30 at the campus’s observation deck.

Staff will give out free solar eclipse glasses to keep your family’s eyes safe.
