EKU outsourcing building/grounds service

RICHMOND, Ky. (WTVQ) – Eastern Kentucky University is outsourcing its building and grounds service to Aramark, effective August 1, 2017, according to a report in the Richmond Register.

The newspaper reports the 180 employees were told of the move on Monday.

Aramark told the newspaper it wants to hire as many current EKU employees who are interested.

Aramark is scheduled to conduct a campus job fair Tuesday through Friday, according to the report.

EKU is offering affected employees a severance package that includes an extension of tuition waiver benefits, health insurance and a cash payment, according to a statement released by the school to the newspaper.
