EKU football player accused of slamming officer to the ground
GROVE CITY, OH (WTVQ) – Eastern Kentucky University football player Michael Harris is accused of picking up and slamming a police officer to the ground during his arrest.
Grove City, Ohio police say when they answered a call about a man causing a disturbance in a business, they found Harris, who they say was intoxicated.
Dash camera video from one of the police cars shows the red-shirt sophomore scuffling with three officers, eventually picking one up and slamming him to the ground.
Investigators say the officer was okay. Police say Harris was charged with felony assault of a police officer and other charges.
