Eckert’s hosts Annual Strawberry Fest

LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) – Eckert’s hosted their Annual Strawberry Fest this weekend.

People were able to listen to live music, eat some delicious food, enjoy the sunshine and hand pick their own strawberries.

Eckert’s had an abundance of strawberries this season, so they hoping to continue pick your own strawberries until next weekend.

Megan Fields with Eckert’s says they had around 1,200 people come out for the festival.

“It’s just getting out on the farm. The weather has been absolutely incredible this weekend and I think families are looking for something to do that’s a little different than going to the movies,” said Fields. “They can still interact with each other, the kids can go play on the playground, they can listen to live music, have a good lunch while their here and just enjoy the beautifulness of the farm.”

The event wrapped up at 5 p.m.

The next event at Eckert’s will be their memorial day festival, which starts Saturday, May 25 and will last until Monday, May 27.
