Easter Egg-citing celebrations at Eckert’s
Versailles, Ky. (WTVQ) — Eckert’s orchard is celebrating Easter with Egg-citing celebrations.
It’s their first event of the season and there was so much to do.
Children could participate in an egg hunt, hold a chick, get their picture with the Easter bunny, have their face painted and ice a cookie.
The event began at 9 a.m.
Megan fields with Eckert’s orchard says they expect many people to come out to the event.
“So we expect three to 600 people a day, kids that doesn’t mean families that’s just kids, ” said Fields. “So, it’s just a good community event for us here at the farm and it’s just something fun for families to do. It’s a little different from your typical egg hunt because we do have so many activities that are included.”
Fields says after the Easter festivities, Eckert’s will be closed for a few more weeks until the strawberries are ripe for the picking.
The event wrapped up at 3 p.m.
The Easter celebrations continue tomorrow and Saturday, March 30.
