DV8 Kitchen receives special award from US Senator Rand Paul

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – A restaurant in Lexington that hires recovering addicts and focuses its entire business model on recovery by using the restaurant setting as a tool for rehabilitation was honored for that effort today.

US Senator Rand Paul of Kentucky presented DV8 Kitchen with the US Senate Small Business of the Week Award at the restaurant’s newest location in the East End. Rob and Diane Perez started DV8 after realizing they had lost 13 employees to addiction over ten years. DV8 has become a national model as a key component of recovery.
