Dunbar HS student earns national archery award
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – A Dunbar High School student found her mark at the National Archery in Schools Program (NASP) National Archery Championship.
Marissa Phillips earned the High School Girls Champion award, competing against students from 192 schools across the country. Phillips scored 296 out of a possible 300, and ranked first in a field of 1,690.
Phillips received a Golden Genesis bow, a $15,000 scholarship, and a trophy for her performance.
