Dry and cool for the middle of the week
Record-breaking rainfall yesterday, October 7th
We had quite a bit of rain across the Bluegrass on Tuesday, with those to the south staying a bit drier and only picking up around 0.5″. Those to the north saw significantly more rain. Lexington recorded 4.74″ of rain, which is not only a record amount of rain for October 7, but it’s also the most amount of rain in a singular day in October ever recorded. A very wet day!
Drying up and clearing out
There are a few isolated showers to start us off, but by late morning, we’ll already be drying up with clouds clearing from north to south. By lunchtime, almost all of us will be mostly sunny. Temperatures by the afternoon will reach the lower 60s to upper 70s. Winds will be a bit breezy out of the north, with gusts reaching up to 20 mph.
Fall-like through the weekend
Temperatures remain in the upper 60s to lower 70s through the weekend. Overnight lows will be a bit on the chilly side with many of us dropping ot the low 40s. Friday morning will likely be the coolest, with some of us possibly reaching the upper 30s. We’ll slowly warm up through the weekend with temperatures reaching the mid to upper 70s by the beginning of next week.
