Drug investigation leads to 7 arrests in Laurel County

LONDON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Seven people were arrested Tuesday afternoon in a familiar place for Laurel County Sheriff’s deputies.

Investigators say after receiving numerous complaints about drug activity in a place where people had been arrested before on drug charges, deputies and the K-9 “Edge,” found suspected crystal meth and drug paraphernalia off Kentucky Hollow Road, three miles north of London.

Deputies say the following people were arrested on various drug charges:

60-year old Jimmie Dale McWhorter

32-year old Christina Wagers

58-year old Freda Tincher

50-year old Troy Miller

50-year old Brian Engle

55-year old Kenny Jones

32-year old Buddy Allen

All seven suspects were lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.

Laurel County Sheriff John Root said after the arrests that the “war on drugs” will continue.
