Driver in critical condition after Laurel County crash

LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ)- A man is in critical condition Sunday after a serious crash in Laurel County.

According to the sheriff, the crash happened around 3 p.m. near Park Subdivision off Kentucky 1189.

Deputies say it looks like a Jeep Cherokee ran off the road and hit a tree head on trapping the driver inside.

He’s been identified as 41-year-old Jason Abrams.

He was airlifted to UK Medical Center in critical condition.
