Driver accused of being under the influence, causing crash

LONDON, Ky. (WTVQ) – The Laurel County Sheriff’s Office says a man who caused a two car crash Monday night was driving under the influence.

Deputies say 55-year old Timothy Williams, of Corbin, drove his car into the back of another on Level Green Road, approximately 10-miles southwest of London around 8:50 p.m.

Williams was cited to appear in court since he was injured in the collision and was taken by ambulance to Baptist Healthcare Corbin, according to investigators.

The driver who was rear-ended, 47-year old Lisa Ann Smith, of London, was not hurt, according to deputies.
