Drier second half of the week

Meteorologist Dillon Gaudet has the latest in your full ABC 36 Storm Team forecast

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Happy Wednesday! We are drying out for your day today after a dreary Tuesday. Temperatures begin the day in the upper 30s and low 40s before climbing into the mid-50s by the afternoon. Seasonably cooler temperatures will continue for Wednesday and Thursday, as average highs are in the low 60s for most. We begin to warm-up a bit by Friday, with afternoon temperatures reaching the mid-60s.

Warmer temperatures return for Easter Weekend, but so will rain chances. Temperatures will be pushing the upper 60s and low 70s on both Saturday and Sunday. An isolated shower is possible on Saturday but most of the day is expected to be dry. Isolated-to-scattered rain chances will be around for Easter Sunday. Rain and storm chances will increase early next week as well. Monday and Tuesday look active with 1-2 inches of rain possible. Current forecast suggests this will mainly be a heavy rain event as opposed to a severe weather event.

Stay with the ABC 36 Storm Team for more updates.
