Drainage repairs to close KY 8 in Lewis County

FLEMINGSBURG, Ky. (WTVQ) – Drivers should be aware of a temporary closure on KY 8 around Vanceburg in Lewis County for drainage repairs on Wednesday, Aug. 4.

The closure will last from close to 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. near milepoint 14.4, east of the Vanceburg city limits and along the Ohio River.

Between Vanceburg and KY 3020, or the Ronald Reagan Memorial Parkway, the highway will be closed to all through traffic. Travelers can detour using KY 59, KY 9 and KY 3020 during the closure.

The road work schedule cold change based on weather conditions. Drivers should pay attention to all warning signs, slow down in work zones and be aware of workers and construction equipment.
