Donation Account Set Up for Teen Shooting Victim
David Lacy’s aunt told the paper that although the teen still isn’t awake, he is in stable condition at UK Hospital. She said Lacy underwent surgery on his legs and stomach after being flown to the medical center on Monday.
The Sheriff’s Office told the State-Journal that Samuel Isaacs, 55, shot Lacy multiple times earlier that evening at the Ducker Mobile Home park and then ran off.
They report Isaacs was then found at a nearby golf course, still armed with a handgun. According to the newspaper, Isaacs refused to surrender to officials until four-and-a-half hours later.
He was charged with first-degree assault, two counts of wanton endangerment and resisting arrest.
No motive has been released as to why the shooting happened.
Lacy’s family has asked that anyone who wants to help with medical and living expenses to drop off their donations at any Farmers Bank branch or at the McNamara & Jones law office in Frankfort.
