Dog rescued from Lexington fire then revived

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Lexington firefighters are credited with bringing a dog back to life after rescuing it from a fire Tuesday morning.

The Lexington Fire Department says a call came in around 8:30 a.m. about a fire at an apartment building in the 200-block of Lyndhurst Place.

Fire was found on the third floor of the apartment complex.

Everyone in the building was evacuated, but firefighters say they discovered the small dog.

Firefighters say the dog was lifeless so they placed a pet resuscitation mask on her.

According to firefighters, she eventually came back around and seems to be back to “her normal self.”

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
