Distracted driver winds up in Scott County creek

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – A man was taken to the hospital after his truck ended up in a creek in Scott County around midnight Wednesday.

Police say the driver was going northbound on Long Lick Pike when he looked down at his phone, went off the road and into a creek.

The driver was able to get out of the truck before crews arrived.

Police say neighbors showed up at the scene to help comfort the man, who appeared to have a broken leg.
