Disaster recovery center opening in Morehead

MOREHEAD, Ky. (WTVQ) – The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) will open a Disaster Recovery Center at Morehead City Hall to assist recent flood victims who have registered for help.

The center will be located at 314 Bridge Street beginning on Wednesday May 13, 2015 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday – Saturday.  Representatives from FEMA say the center will be there as long as necessary to help people recover.

The center is open to everyone, but to be eligible for federal disaster assistance, individuals and businesses must have suffered damages in Kentucky. Victims are urged to start the application process by calling toll-free, 1-800-621-FEMA (1-800-621-3362). Those with hearing or speech impairments may call TTY 1-800-462-7585 to apply.
