Woman Killed in Three Vehicle Collision in Lawrenceburg

LAWRENCEBURG, Ky. (WTVQ) – A 20-year-old woman from Anderson County was killed in a three vehicle collision Friday afternoon in Lawrenceburg, according to State Police.

It happened just before 3:30 p.m. at the intersection of US 127 Lawrenceburg Road and KY 151 Alton Station Road.

State Police say a preliminary investigation indicates that a 2016 Ford F-150 pickup truck, driven by 66-year old Thomas Sayre, of Midway, was traveling north on US 127 and hit a 1998 Honda Civic, driven by 20-year old Makayla Brown, of Lawrenceburg, who was traveling west on KY 151.

State Police say Brown was pronounced dead at the scene while Sayre was taken to Frankfort Regional Hospital with minor injuries.

Investigators say a 2006 Kia Sedona, driven by 69-year old Linda Hudson, of Lawrenceburg, was also struck by Sayre’s pickup after it hit Brown’s car. Linda Hudson was treated at the scene and released, according to KSP.

The deadly collision is under investigation by State Police.
