Lexington Firefighters investigating storage unit fire
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) -Firefighters worked a fire at a storage facility in Lexington Monday afternoon.
According to firefighters, around 2:10 p.m., a storage building at the Econo-Self Storage on James Court caught fire. Firefighters say that fire spread to 2 additional buildings.
Witnesses say multiple explosions could be heard in the facility. Firefighters say they believe the explosions could be some kind of ammunition, but aren’t certain.
James Court was shut down for hours. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
